Job description

SDCA brings together all aspects of diabetes treatment, clinical diabetes research and education under the same roof, thereby offering more integrated treatment in an environment with world-class scientists and physicians.

We are looking for a highly motivated clinician scientist to assist the educational unit at SDCA with a wide range of teaching tasks within courses for health professionals (doctors, nurses, social and health assistants, etc.) in municipalities, in general practice, etc., as well as teaching in connection with various patient education offers.

The tasks will be both regular teaching and contribute to the development of new initiatives in the field of education. In addition, there will be ongoing opportunities for own competence development within pedagogy, learning, presentation techniques, etc., where the associated employees form part of the overall teaching group associated with Steno Aarhus with dissemination and teaching within diabetes.

The applicant should have clinical experience and have trained in a diabetes research environment and integrate these skills into the work at SDCA.

Selection criteria

  • Qualifications at PhD-level and a track record in diabetes and metabolism research
  • Authorized to work independently as a medical doctor
  • Excellent scientific track record in clinical diabetes research
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An analytical attitude of devising innovative scientific or logistic solutions
  • An enthusiastic, dedicated and collaborative attitude

Relationships

  • The holder of the position will be responsible to and primarily report to the head of research at SDCA
  • The holder of the position is expected to interact with staff at all levels, both internally and externally, regarding relevant research topics

Employment Conditions

The successful candidate will be employed at SDCA. SDCA is part of Aarhus University Hospital in Central Denmark Region. Place of employment will for the present be at Aarhus University Hospital.

Salary is in accordance with current agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child certificate.
