About the department
Safety Operations is a department within Global Safety situated in Bagsværd, Denmark. Global Safety is an organisation of more than 400 highly professional people with a background within Health Science. The core activity and responsibility of Safety Operation is to medically and scientifically assess patient safety based on adverse event reports and product quality issues to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements globally.

The position
With a background as Medical Doctor your primary responsibility is evaluating the impact and consequences of disease conditions, interpreting diagnostic results and identifying differential diagnosis based on individual safety cases reported on development products from clinical trials as well as products on the market.

Furthermore you will drive review of clinical trial and non-interventional study protocols to ensure adequate collection of relevant safety information according to regulatory requirements and Novo Nordisk procedures. The responsibility includes training of monitors & investigators globally with regards to safety reporting and chairing cross functional groups serving as knowledge sharing, planning and problem-solving groups within Global Safety for clinical trials.

As a Medical Doctor, you will bring broad and in depth understanding of medical concepts, diseases processes also outside your area of speciality or therapeutic areas when assessing the potential risk to patients in relation to product quality issues and in potential recall situations.

You are expected to be a medical expert when interaction with internal and external stakeholders e.g. colleagues in affiliates and health authorities.

You will work independently and in collaboration with a team of highly skilled, committed and enthusiastic colleagues. Assuming responsibility, communicating information and taking action will be essential part of you work day. You will have a close collaboration and interaction with other functional areas in Novo Nordisk and you will be an important contributor in the Novo Nordisk organisation.

Qualifications
For this position you need to be Medical Doctor with clinical experience and an interest to work within Pharmacovigilance.
