We are delighted to welcome you to the Nordic Cancer Conference, where leading experts, researchers, and policymakers from across the Nordic countries come together to address one of the most pressing health challenges of our time: cancer.
Bonnier Healthcare, together with Nordic Cancer Union’s (NCU) members, invites you to the Nordic Cancer Conference.
The program is designed together with a reference group consisting of:

The Swedish Cancer Society, Ulrica Sundholm, Manager Knowledge & Support
The Danish Cancer Society: Heidi Smollerup Rasmussen, Chief Consultant policy and legal
Bonnier Healthcare Norway, Martin Gray – Editor in Chief Dagens Medisin, and moderator for the conference
In the Nordic region, we are fortunate to have robust healthcare systems, cutting-edge research facilities, and a tradition of collaboration. These strengths enable us to make significant strides in cancer prevention and treatment. Our shared commitment to public health, comprehensive cancer registries, and the ability to implement large-scale population studies should provide a strong foundation for impactful cancer strategies.
However, we also face significant challenges. The rapid pace of innovation in cancer treatment brings about issues related to the timely access to new and often costly medicines. Additionally, ensuring equal access to cutting-edge treatments and clinical trials across our countries remains a complex task. We must navigate these challenges while continuing to prioritize patient-centered care and equitable healthcare delivery.
We need to examine how we can streamline access to new medicines and enhance the effectiveness of clinical trials. By working together, we can leverage our collective strengths and address our shared challenges, driving forward towards a future where cancer is more effectively prevented, treated, and ultimately cured.
